Bridgwater School of Karate

The Bridgwater School of Karate has been based at the Community Centre for many years under the leadership of 5th Dan Joe Johnson.  The club practises Wado Ryu Karate one of the 5 major traditional karate styles, and currently has 5 Dan grades.

The emphasis of the club is traditional Karate training, and looks to build on Fitness, Self Discipline and Confidence.

Joe has been training for 35 years, and at 21 was lucky enough to go to Japan to study karate, and trained for 3 months at Nihon University.  He was a member of the England all styles karate squad and competed in the UK and Europe, so shares a wealth of experience with the club’s members.
